CIPSEC will be at JNIC2017 (National Cybersecurity Research Days) represented by Atos.
CIPSEC stakeholder Joaquín Rodríguez from Atos is the author of the article "Improve SIEM capabilities within CIPSEC project" accepted to be presented at this conference.
JNIC is a forum where different role players working in the field of Cybersecurity research (mainly universities, technology and research centers, companies and governmental entities) will have the opportunity to exchange their works, ideas and experiences, with the common objective to promote research in the area of cybersecurity, facilitating the establishment of collaborations and technology transfer. This is the third edition of JNIC, and it will take place in Madrid, on May 31, June 1 and 2, 2017. It will be organized by the Rey Juan Carlos University with the collaboration of the Spanish National Cybersecurity Institute (INCIBE)
The main aim of CIPSEC is to create a unified security framework that orchestrates state-of-the-art heterogeneous security products to offer high levels of protection to Critical Infrastructures. As part of this framework CIPSEC will offer a complete security ecosystem of proposed technical solutions, including a System Information Event Management platform (XL-SIEM). Without the right security data analytics, organizations face the constant risk of becoming the next victim, so to adequately secure Critical Infrastructures environments, there is needed to stop forcing these tools into the security analytics role and start integrating it with additional security tools to trigger cohesive events and alarms.
